Lovely Vintage 6 inch mid-century Japan bisque porcelain figurine pair featuring a farm boy and girl with geese. These pieces are in the classic Hummel-style, with soft hand-painted features, pastel tones, and expressive faces similar to early Goebel designs.
Both figurines are Japan-made bisque porcelain with the original mid-century finish: a matte bisque surface with light glossy accents on the eyes, beaks, and select details, which is typical of higher-quality 1950s–60s Japan production. One retains part of the original Japan foil label on the base. Undersides show the traditional kiln vent holes.
No chips or cracks. Light age wear from display only. Beautiful display size at approximately 6” tall.
